Three Days!

Amber and I are so excited to see everybody soon.  Here's a quick schedule for you all.

Friday:  Busses for the boat cruise start loading at 5:30 from the Mountain Grand Lodge and will depart around 6:00.  Expected return is around 11:00 pm.  Light snacks and refreshments will be provided, but please try to eat dinner beforehand.  

Saturday: The ceremony begins at the Deer Lake Beach at 5:00 pm.  This is approximately a 5 minute drive, or shuttles to the ceremony site are available with a half hour notice if you dial ‘0’ to reach the hotel operator.  Walking is not recommended.  Shuttles will begin staging in front of the Grand Lodge at 4:30. Due to shuttle demand, please try to depart early. Thanks!

Extending the boat offer

Hello!  After getting the majority of family RSVP's back, we have plenty of room to extend the boat cruise offer to friends.  I have started to contact some of you.  If you would like to join, please contact Matt or I fairly soon.  Thanks everyone!

The majority of the invites are out and you should have received them!  Just a reminder for those of you that are able to attend:  please reserve a room with Boyne by the suggested date on the RSVP (June 1st).  Boyne has a policy that after this date, I have to drop any unspoken for rooms so they can go ahead and fill them.

We are looking forward to July and excited to see everyone!!

Hi everybody!  Wedding invites will be going out in the next week or so.  You should see them soon!

Just to let you all know, we are having a sunset cruise on Lake Michigan the night before the wedding.  The boat is large but it won't fit everybody; space will be limited to 130 people. Amber and I are planning on 175-200 people for the wedding, so unfortunately we're going to have to prioritize family over friends for the sunset cruise.  We will be asking people to RSVP as soon as possible so we can make sure the boat is filled.

Quick note to all our family travelling with kids:  We're looking to limit the ceremony & reception dinner to 1st cousins only but all kids travelling are welcome on the boat.  Please write the appropriate number on the RSVP for each night.  Thanks, and please let us know if you have any questions

Hello everyone! The wedding is getting closer and the lady that I am working with to block off rooms at Boyne has let me know that I need to start finalizing what I would like so they don't book up.  You can take a look at my Accommodations post again and let me know what you are considering.  I don't have many three bedroom or condos blocked off, so if you wanted to stay with other friends or family members in one, please contact Matt or myself.  Within the month I will have all the information so you can go online and book your rooms.  Because Boyne is a very popular place, even in the summer months, I have to drop any un-paid for rooms by Spring so I don't get charged for them and other people can fill that spot.

I know it sounds confusing.  If you have any questions, please let us know! And if I can't answer it, Boyne will be glad to help.

East Coast Family

Thank you to everyone that made it out to our engagement party! We had a very nice trip.

On a side note, for anyone that is flying to MI for the wedding, they do have flights from Manchester to Traverse City with a layover in Detroit.  Traverse City is a little over an hour from Boyne Mountain.  There were a few people that asked me what the best airport option was. Driving is also another option.  Or you can always fly into MI and drive up north.  We might not have as many trees or mountains, but Michigan is also a very beautiful state.
